Hugo trained in modern, jazz and contemporary dance in Brazil starting his professional dancing career in The Bale Folclorico da Bahia.
In 2003, Hugo moved to Europe to join the production of The Lion King in Hamburg, Germany and went on to join the London cast in 2005.
Hugo also appeared in the roll of Tito in the Cuban musical El Barrio from the director Iris de Brito staged in London in 2006.
In November of 2006 Hugo was invited to join the ballet company Ballet Black at The Royal Opera House under the direction of Cassa Pancho and Raymond Chai as Ballet master.
Hugo has performed extensively in the UK and internationally. Alongside his role in STOMP, Hugo is known in London as a choreographer and salsa dancer.
